Our Church History

Pastor Chao started the worldwide Bread of Life evangelistic meeting in 1947 in Shanghai, China. Our church was a church plant by River of Life Christian Church in Silicon Valley, and we started meeting in August of 2001.

Our Vision

To make a lasting impression of our heavenly father in such a way that each child would begin to develop a personal relationship with Him.

“Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6

 

Our Goals

1. Create first impression and therefore lasting impression of our heavenly father through worship, prayer, and teaching.

2. Partner with parents to establish biblical principles as foundations for decisions making now and in the future.

3. Kids would know that – I can trust God no matter what and I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

 

Our Guiding Values

Children learn best:

1 –  In an environment and through activities targeted to their age group

2 –  In an environment that is physically, emotionally and spiritually safe

3 –  When lessons are relevant and help them make a personal application

4 –  In the context of a community group where shepherding takes place

5 –  When Bible stories and truths are presented in engaging, creative ways

6 –  When they are having FUN!

 

Our Team

As a team, we learn together and always try our best to:

VALUE Each Other – This is a place where we get to use our gifts & talents to serve.  We greatly appreciate each other’s contributions and understand that our workload can be shared.

CONNECT  Each Other – This is a place where we’ll be known and know other people as we serve alongside with each other.  We understand that relationship is a key to spirit of unity, and we’re contributing to a “family project”, not just checking off chores on the list.

INCLUDE  Each Other – This is a place where we are encouraged to give inputs and ideas, and we will inform each other of our progress and direction as a ministry.

CHALLENGE  Each Other – This is a place that would call for our very best and we would feel that we’re growing.  We believe in each other’s potentials, knowing that we’re not simply to show up in our role, but as a team we have the potential to make an eternity difference for the kids, their families and beyond.
